Touring in Tasmania? We are on the Strahan – Hobart touring route, voted “One of Australia’s Top 10 Drives” and have powered sites, bbqs, clean bathrooms, laundry, kitchen and camping facilities. Tarraleah is a great spot to catch your breath for a while.
Experience some of the wonderful walks, wildlife, history and wilderness in the town. Wander to the waterfall, go wildlife spotlighting on the 'Moonlight Monsters' tour or cycle to a platypus hole and have breakfast cooked for you out in the bush.
The Highland Caravan Park has clean modern camp facilities including a kitchen, laundry, bathrooms, bbqs and telephone access. There are 27 powered sites and room for others. Eftpos is available.
The Highlander Arms with its local beers and home cooking is almost beside you and Teez Café, for great coffee, breakfast and a bottle of wine over lunch is five minutes walk away. Or treat yourself to a Tasmanian fine dining experience one evening at the nearby Wildside Restaurant with at least four courses of gourmet cuisine and a wine list of over 300.
Endless activities, unique tours, walks, wildlife, pioneering history and wilderness are all on your doorstep. Play golf, squash, use the gym if you have to, go fishing, mountain biking, secret lake kayaking, wonder at the stars and spot over 80 different species of birds, all within striking distance of the town.
