ACCOMMODATION

Scholars House

Relaxed and friendly, contemporary conversion of the former Highland schoolhouse.

School rooms are two storey en-suite apartments each with a queen size bed upstairs and a sitting area with flat screen and dvd downstairs.

Warm fireside snug, laundry, internet, rocking horse, lots of room and a little nostalgia.

Interconnecting rooms, family and ‘less-abled’ suites are all available and there is easy parking outside and even access to a fully equipped chef’s kitchen.

The Highlander Arms with its local beers and home cooking is within sight; Teez Café for great coffee, breakfast and a bottle of wine over lunch is a three minute walk away.

Fuel, groceries, clothing, fishing supplies and Tasmanian craft are all available.

Endless activities, unique tours, walks, wildlife, pioneering history and wilderness are all on your doorstep. Play golf, squash, use the gym if you have to, go fishing, mountain biking, secret lake kayaking, wonder at the stars and spot over 80 different species of birds all within striking distance of the Estate.

Sensible pricing, seriously comfortable beds, fluffy towels and complimentary bathroom toiletries. Great for families, groups and touring couples. Under Tasmanian law, all our accommodation is non smoking.

School rooms are two storey, en-suite apartments with queen bed upstairs and bathroom and sitting area downstairs that sleep up to two adults upstairs and one child under 15 years downstairs, cots FOC. Family rooms sleep two adults upstairs and two children under 15 downstairs. ‘Less-abled’ wing has two queen bedrooms and separate children’s bunkroom.
