Narelle Byatt

Narelle Byatt holds a Bachelor of Business Degree, is a Certified Coach through the Life Coaching Institute of Australia and is a member of the International Coach Federation.  She has coaching clients throughout Australia.  Originally from Queensland, Narelle has also lived and worked in the UK & USA, and has resided in Hobart since 2000.

Committed to personal and professional growth and development, through her business ‘Discover You’, Narelle devotes her time to assisting individuals and organisations to reach their full potential, whilst also creating balance in their lives.  Passionate about fitness, health and wellness, she is a qualified Thai Massage Therapist, Tai Chi instructor and a member of the Massage Association of Australia.  She also works part-time in Health Promotion.  Narelle has a reputation for professionalism, enthusiasm and integrity, combined with compassion and empathy.

Here is an overview of the workshops and Tai Chi class that Narelle will be conducting during the Tarraleah Wellbeing Week-end Retreats:

Lifestyle Management Workshop

This workshop includes a lifestyle self-assessment, with some practical exercises for re-assessing your life values, getting your wheel of balance back into alignment and strategies for improved self-care and management.  You will leave the workshop with renewed focus and energy!

Acupressure and Self Massage Workshop

This is a practical workshop, where you will learn some key acupressure points to alleviate common ailments, such as headaches and tension caused by stress.  Narelle will also give you some ‘instant easy energisers’.  You will be introduced to the technique of body awareness and how to do everyday self massage to tap into your natural healing processes.

Stress Management Workshop

This practical and interactive workshop will explore the effects of stress on your mental and physical health.  You will learn helpful strategies, including a number of ‘stress busters’ and relaxation techniques for managing your stress levels more effectively at work, and in your personal lives.

Tai Chi

Tai Chi is valuable in promoting health, developing combat and self-defence skills, improving concentration and overall wellbeing.  Be introduced to some of the health benefits derived from practicing Tai Chi's slow, gentle and tranquil movements.  Join in for a group Tai Chi session to promote harmony in mind and body, improve mobility, suppleness and mental alertness.  An invigorating cup of green tea will follow!  Anyone, regardless of age or level of fitness, can practice and benefit from Tai Chi.  Old Chinese saying:
“Whoever practices Tai Chi regularly will in time gain the suppleness of a child, the strength of a lion, and the peace of mind of a sage.”

Narelle is also offering the opportunity for a Private Coaching Session and/or a Thai Yoga Massage.  Each session is 1 hour and the cost is $80.  If you would like to book a private session with Narelle, reserve your place now, as there are only four opportunities available during the Retreat – Saturday 2pm or 4.30pm, or Sunday 12pm or 3pm.

Thai Yoga Massage

Traditional Thai Yoga Massage is an ancient healing art, which combines gentle stretching and yoga postures with acupressure and reflexology, promoting total well-being.  A full body Thai Massage is performed on a yoga mat on the floor with the client dressed comfortably.  Thai Massage works on the body’s energy lines through which the body’s natural life force flows.  When the energy is blocked, it creates aches, pains and disease.  In this interactive bodywork, the therapist applies pressure using hands, thumbs, elbows, forearms, feet and knees to release blocked energy, freeing the body’s own natural healing potential.
